COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Anna have issued a warning and published sketches of a man they're calling a "suspicious individual." Officials say the man may have attempted to abduct at least one little girl and his description matches those given by other Collin County children reporting similar incidents.

The sketch was issued in connection with a police report made on January 28. That was when a little girl said a man tried to entice her into his vehicle with a sweet treat.

The 11-year-old girl said she was outside skateboarding when a man in a green van started driving slowly behind her. The man allegedly then began waving to get her attention. Once the girl noticed him, he asked her if she would like a brownie. The girl said no, but the man continued speaking with her and at one point asked her to get in his van.

The girl told police she ran to her house to get her father, who came out and saw the van driving away.

The alleged attempted abduction is similar to those reported by an eight-year girl in Van Alstyne and a nine-year-old girl in Melissa. A young boy in Princeton also reported being approached.

The children describe the suspect as being a slender white male, with a shaggy white beard. The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was wearing a ball cap at the time of the incident in January.

Investigators with the Anna Police Department are asking that anyone recognizing the man in the sketch call police at 903-267-2280 or send an email to Officer Chad Butler.
