Christie Will Travel To Texas To Root For Cowboys

PHILADELPHIA (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Gov. Chris Christie faced criticism for sitting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones during last Sunday's Cowboys-Eagles game in Philadelphia. Apparently, he doesn't care.
Christie called into a Philadelphia sports radio station Thursday to again defend his Dallas Cowboys fandom. He says he's planning to travel to Dallas for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Christie told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show team that he'll be sitting in Jones's box again.
Christie received an onslaught of social media criticism last weekend when he was spotted with Jones rooting for the team during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cataldi likened the move to watching video of a cousin robbing a Wawa.
But Christie says he's been a Cowboys fan since he was a kid and isn't apologizing for his allegiances. He says he doesn't care how it played.
"I don't care how it played, it's who I am," said Christie. "I'm another fan. I was a Cowboys fan before I was the Governor of New Jersey, and I'll be a Cowboys fan long after I'm the Governor of New Jersey."
