Update 9/12 6:45 p.m.

DENVER (CBS 11 NEWS)  - The CBS 11 I-team contacted the Orange County Clerk's office today regarding Von Miller's case.  An employee explained that the information initially released by the Orange County District Attorney's office was not correct.

Miller did receive a ticket and had failed to show up for court, which meant he forfeited his bond.

However, on July 9, 2012, Miller paid $559 to take care of his speeding ticket and his case was closed on July 12, 2012.

Von Miller's cases out of Denver are still on-going.

DENVER, CO (CBS 11 NEWS) - It's been a rough summer for Denver Broncos' Von Miller.  In August, the NFL announced the team's star linebacker and would be suspended for six games for violating the league's drug policy.

Then, on September 5, the former Texas A&M Aggie, was caught speeding and driving without a license in Araphoe County, Colorado.

That's on top of his arrest on August 14 for failing to appear in court.  That case is based on Von Miller's arrest in October 2012, when he was pulled over careless driving, driving without a license and having no proof of insurance.

"Obviously it's something we are not happy about," John Fox, Broncos Head Coach, told our Denver counterpart, CBS 4.  "Everybody here has an individual responsibility, not only to themselves and this organization, but this football team obviously.  It's something we're not pleased about."

Now, the CBS 11 I-Team is uncovering new details about Miller.

Turns out, Vonnie Bvsean Miller, "Von", has a history of not showing up in court.

Investigative Reporter Mireya Villarreal uncovered Miller was cited March 22, 2012 in Orange County, California, for speeding.

Susan Schroeder, Orange County District Attorney Spokesperson, confirms Miller never showed up for that ticket and a bench warrant was issued.  That warrant is currently active out of Orange County, California.

The DA's office also sent notice to the DMV that Miller never paid a fine or showed up for court.

Schroeder couldn't say how Von Miller's most recent run in with the law will impact their case, only that they'd look into the situation.

Von Miller's Attorney Mark Schamel responded to what CBS 4 and CBS 11 uncovered late tonight, saying "This is a $240 speeding ticket for driving 10 mph over the speed limit. I'm hoping to have this cleared up in the next 24 hours."

The Denver Broncos staff could not be reached for comment about these latest developments.

Miller is a native of DeSoto, Texas.  He had 30 sacks in his first two seasons in the NFL.
