DFR: Cause of Dallas Apartment Fire Unknown
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Fire Rescue is unsure of what started a fire at the Triden Village Apartments in the 18000 block of Midway Road Sunday morning.
The blaze was called in at 3:35 a.m. Jason Evans, Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman said. By 4:32 a.m. 28 firefighters, eight trucks and two rescue units were able to extinguish the fire at the three story apartment complex.
One apartment was damaged by the fire, several other were damaged by smoke and water, Evans said. No firefighters or residents were injured.
Investigators estimate the fire caused about $70,000 worth of damages. The fire stated on a thrid floor balcony and spread into the attic.
There will be no updates on the cause of the fire until Monday, Evans said.
