Caught On Camera: Man Trying To Install Camera In Bathroom

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Police have issued a $5,000 reward for anyone who can help identify a man caught installing a camera in a recreation center bathroom.

Workers at the city's Oak Point Recreation Center found a small video camera hidden inside what appeared to be a wall-mounted air freshener. The device had been placed inside a family changing room area that leads to a swimming pool.

A rec center supervisor found the camera because the fake air freshener seemed out of place, low and near a shower.

Plano police were able to get a picture of the man they believe installed the camera off the device.

Detectives have determined that the man is not a city employee. If he is the one who put the camera on the wall, he could be facing a felony charge of improper recording.

They are asking anyone who knows the man or knows anything connected to the case to call the police department tip line at (972) 941-2148. As of Saturday afternoon, a Plano police spokesman said they had no information about who the man is.
