Capital Murder Charges For Teen After Shooting & Xbox Theft
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The sound of what was believed to be gunfire and a suspicious hole in the wall led to officers from one North Texas police department finding two shooting victims.
Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, an apartment resident in Dallas heard what they thought were gunshots, but couldn't figure out where the noises came from. The day after the incident, the individual found what they thought was a bullet hole in the wall of their apartment and called police.
When officers went to the complex, in the 500 block of Westmount Avenue, the wall of the unit with the apparent bullet hole was adjoined to another apartment.
When police went to the connecting apartment they found two people shot multiple time. One male victim was dead at the scene. The other female victim was severely injured.
While the female victim had been critically injured, she was able to tell investigators what happened. The woman said she was in the apartment when the deceased victim, later identified as 24-year-old Jesse Aquirre, got into an argument with a man named Jonathan Saucedo.
The woman claimed that during the verbal altercation Saucedo pulled a gun and shot her and Aquirre. While injured the woman said she was aware of her surroundings and knew that after the shooting Saucedo proceeded to steal an Xbox game system from the apartment.
Officers were able to locate Saucedo and during an interview at DPD headquarters investigators say the 18-year-old admitted shooting the pair and "removing property from their residence."
Saucedo has been charged with Capital Murder and remains in the Dallas County Jail on more than $1,000,000 bond.
The female shooting victim is in critical condition at a local hospital.
