BYU Upsets No. 12 Texas A&M Women, 72-67; Sweep Tourney

LAIE, Hawaii (AP) — Lexi Eaton Rydalch scored 28 points and BYU upset No. 12 Texas A&M, 72-64 to complete a sweep at the Tom Weston Classic on the campus of BYU-Hawaii on Saturday night.
The Cougars (6-3) ran their overall record at the invitational tournament to 14-1, beating BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii in addition to the Aggies. BYU's only loss came last year against Oregon State.
Makenzi Morrison Pulsipher hit a 3-pointer with 52 seconds left to send BYU into halftime with a 34-31 lead. The Cougars widened the margin with a 9-2 run to open the third quarter.
Morrison Pulsipher added 16 points for the Cougars and Kalani Purcell had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Chelsea Jennings scored 17 off the bench to lead Texas A&M. Courtney Walker and Jordan Jones added nine points apiece.
The Aggies committed 19 turnovers while BYU connected on 25 of 55 shots from the field (45.5 percent).
