Boyfriend Of Teen Found Dead Near House Speaks Out

FORT WORTH (KRLD) - For the first time the boyfriend of the teenager shot in the head in Fort Worth last month is speaking out about his girlfriend's life and death.

Claudia Hidic died June 28 after being shot behind a Fort Worth home.

Alen Druzannovic knew Hidic well; the two had been dating for several months.

There have been reports the 17-year–old girl may have been part of a robbery. Police have said she was with two men, Curtis Fortenberry and Terrance Crumley, both of whom have since been arrested.

According to police, the teenage girl was with the two men on June 28 and all three planned to rob people inside a house. Police say gunshots were fired during the robbery and Hidic was shot in the head. Her body was found near the back door of a home.

In an exclusive interview with NewsRadio 1080 KRLD Alen said it simply isn't true Hidic was taking part in a robbery. According to Alen, his girlfriend was a loving person who had a tremendous impact on his life and would never have any criminal intentions.

"Don't judge what the news says right now, because that's not quite how the story went."

Of the suspects in custody Alen said, "They weren't guys that you want to be around. They were always on the bad side of everybody and I hope they get what they deserve."

Alen recalled how devastated he was when he got the news that his girlfriend had been killed.

"I didn't believe it. I did not believe it at all," he remembered. "Her sister called me and I hung up the phone on her; I told her that's not something that you play around with."

Alen says he will be patient and wait for the "truth" to come out.

Claudia Hidic would have been a senior hear at Trinity High School this fall.
