Boy From Hurst Officer Outburst Denies Resisting Arrest
HURST (CBSDFW.COM) - The teenager who was the focus of a police officer's outburst caught on video denied resisting arrest Monday, while filing an official complaint about the incident.
Andrew Rodriguez walked into the Hurst Police Department flanked by his mother and community activist Carlos Quintanilla. It's the first time Rodriguez has appeared or spoken out since the incident November 20.
Following a short visit behind closed doors inside the police department, Rodriguez appeared to make a short statement thanking supporters.
"I'd like to thank everybody that's helped me and my family through Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, and everybody else here, thanks very much," he said.
Rodriguez though also distributed a two-page statement about the incident, including his description of when Officer Disraeli Arnold arrived on scene.

"After that I could hear someone running and then felt a hit to my head and heard Officer Disraeli Arnold, badge number 654 calling me vulgar and life threatening names," the statement read.
Rodriguez also denied resisting arrest.
"He asked me to lie on the ground, I did. He asked me to put my hands behind my back I did," the statement read.
In addition to filing a formal complaint Rodriguez asked that Hurst request the Tarrant County District Attorney and the US Attorney to conduct an independent investigation into Arnold's actions.
