Bomb Threat Evacuates Collin College Campus
PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Officials with Collin College evaucated the Spring Creek Campus on Friday morning after a bomb threat. According to Lisa Vasquez, Vice President of PR & Campus Development, a call was received at about 10:00 a.m. from a male saying that there was a bomb on the campus.
The entire campus was evacuated as a precaution, while school authorities and the Plano Police Department swept over the area. Friday afternoon's classes at the Plano campus have been canceled until 5:00 p.m. Friday evening. The college's other five campuses remain open and are operating as usual.
School officials have not yet decided whether classes will continue as scheduled on Friday night or throughout the weekend.
