FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a 911 call about a drowning at Trinity River early Saturday morning.

The caller reported hearing yelling coming from the river in the area north of downtown.

According to officials, the caller said he saw one man in the water yelling that another person he was with had gone underwater and did not resurface.

Officials said the man in the water went under as well and did not resurface.

The Fort Worth Fire Department along with Fort Worth police and MedStar were on the scene.

Dive units were used to locate and recover the bodies of the two victims.

Officials said the two men were reportedly fishing before they fell into the water.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified one of the deceased men as 23-year-old Angel Ibarra.

The other man was identified Sunday as 21-year-old Eduardo Cortina-Mares.
