Bloody Battle Begins In Plano
PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Donors rolled up their sleeves Sunday to participate in The Annual Battle Of The Badges Blood Drive in Plano.
Both the Plano Police and Fire Departments are hosting blood drives through out the week starting July 7. The friendly competition is a means for the departments to help supply meet demand for blood donations.
"People need blood about every 3 seconds in America," according to Plano Police officer Christopher Bianez.
Whichever department collects the most blood will take home the coveted Battle of the Badges trophy. After people donate, they can cast a vote on who they think should reign victorious.
