With an estimated 70,000 people to attend Earth Day Texas, Dallas' event is the largest in the state. Earth Day Texas is a free family-friendly, three-day festival that celebrates the planet. The 2015 Earth Day Texas event at Fair Park will showcase over 800 exhibits. One can learn how to create a sustainable garden, the benefits of having a rain barrel, and learn about efficient energy sources. There are many indoor and outdoor exhibits providing plenty of hands-on experiences. This is a great learning opportunity for children and adults. Earth Day Texas will have two 60-inch OmniGlobes with 180 animations providing a 3D look at the planet's history. There are workshops for school aged children as well as college students, plus an outdoor tree-climbing experience and other family activities.

You can be one of the 700 volunteers to help in the 29th Annual Spring Clean Up as part of Keep Lewisville Beautiful. The event is not just about participating in a city wide clean up effort. You can visit the educational booths and learn more about how you can help the environment. All volunteers will receive a free lunch, goodie bag and a t-shirt while supplies last. This grass roots Earth fest includes nature hikes and wildflower tours set in 160-acre native prairie land. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Prairie Fest.
