Best Spring Salads In DFW

The best salads are made with more than just lettuce, dressing and a few croutons. When prepared with the best ingredients, salads are healthy and delicious. Premium ingredients like pears, Parmesan cheese and arugula can bring intense flavor to a dish once thought to be bland. With warm weather comes the urge to eat outside in the sunshine. A light meal is usually the most appetizing in the heat, so salads often appear on spring and summer menus. Below is a list of where to find the best spring salads in DFW. These restaurants know how to make salads right.

www.coalvines.comIn warm spring weather, Cole Vines can open one entire side of the restaurant, making the it open to the fresh air. Although the Cole Vines Caesar salad is listed as a side salad, there is certainly enough for two. The flavor isn't small either. There is so much garlic on this salad that everyone at your table will know it. One thing is for sure: you won't need to worry about vampires for the evening.
Ozona Bar & Grill
4615 Greenville Ave.
Dallas, TX 75206
(214) 265-9105
www.ozonagrill.comThe patio at Ozona is about the same size as the restaurant itself, making this the perfect place to enjoy a spring lunch. As its name implies, the Texas spinach salad begins with fresh spinach, and adds hard boiled eggs, fresh mushrooms, bacon and pecans, as well as jack and cheddar cheese, croutons and a few fried jalapenos. The jalapenos add more bite than you might expect, so make sure to have a cold drink on hand for your first bite. Honey mustard dressing comes on the side, so you can pour as much as you like over the bowl.
