Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love. Whether they are enjoying their first Valentine's together or their fiftieth, couples often go out for dinner, followed by a show. Of course, the best shows for Valentine's Day are always the romantic ones. Whether, serious or silly, they add an appropriate feeling to the night of love. To that end, here are some of the best options for shows in DFW this Valentine's Day.

"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" initially ran from 2000 to 2003, and is the longest running theater production in Dallas. It has now become an annual show. It is a musical comedy that tells a hilarious story of dating and marriage. This performance is at the Theatre Three location, but actually in the basement performance space, Theatre Too. If you haven't been to a show there, be prepared for an intimate theater experience, unparalleled in larger theaters.

Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale" is showing at Casa Manana this February. It is a slightly different version of the classic fairy tale and can be enjoyed by all ages. What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than with the music of Shakespeare's ultimate love story? "Romeo and Juliet" will be performed along with the romance of Debussy's "Iberia" and Rodrigo's "Concerto de Aranjuez." Marco Barrueco with play a special guitar performance for the occasion. An evening at the symphony always makes an elegant date.

It is a light-hearted, and less expensive, way to spend Valentine's Day.
