Easter is a time to get together with family, and like most family holidays, food is usually the center of these gatherings. Since not many people have the following Monday off though, a late dinner is not always as practical for Easter. Easter brunch is a great way to celebrate the day with each other, while enjoying a meal, and still have time to rest for the week ahead. Inside The Modern, Fort Worth's modern art museum, is a café with high-class cuisine. Café Modern, as it is aptly named, serves museum patrons as well as food seekers. Brunch is one of their specialties, and Easter is no exception. For the lunch side, there is a variety of salads and sandwiches. For the breakfast side, choose from dishes like pineapple upside down pancakes and loaded potato frittata. There is a children's brunch menu as well, with selections for the little ones like French toast and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Dish is a restaurant, lounge, and patio, so can provide whichever atmosphere you are seeking. A couple of the entrees that might spark your interest are the migas skillet or the stuffed brioche French toast. Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys are just a couple of the drinks offered that you can sip with your meal. You can even drink your dessert with the x-rated rootbeer float. At Mattito's, Easter brunch is served 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch is served on a buffet complete with a taco bar, waffle station, tortilla soup, and a lot more Mexican and breakfast dishes. The buffet is $16.99 for adults and $6.99 for children. It also includes coffee, tea, soda, juice and dessert. Bottomless mimosas are available at an additional charge. Reservations are not required, but are accepted and always a good idea on busy holidays.

The décor isn't fancy at the Park Hill Café, but the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food tasty. They recently started serving brunch, and only offer it on Sunday, so Easter is the perfect opportunity to survey the addition. The complimentary Mimosa alone should be incentive enough to go. As for the food, you can find breakfast quesadillas, or try the French toast casserole made with egg-soaked croissants instead of bread. It is only fitting that hash brown casserole is offered as a side.

The Gaylord Texan is offering a special event for Easter brunch. It includes not only the brunch itself, but also live entertainment, and is served in the decorated ballroom complete with ice sculptures. The menu offers everything from custom omelets to a sushi station. The price is $71 for adults and $29 for children. This also includes champagne, parking, service charge and tax. Call ahead for reservations. Seatings are every half hour between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
