There's an excellent lineup of swimming programs for all ages and a host of special events such as dive-in movies, swimming competitions and a duck derby. Additionally, if your kids are 10 years or older, you can leave them to splash away while you go workout at the Natatorium's premier fitness facility. Water slides, water cannons, bubblers, spray bars and a 200-foot lazy river offer plenty of ways to keep cool in the heat. But if that doesn't get you soaked, then the mini tsunami brought on by the 600-gallon dump bucket will do the trick. While the kids play, serious swimmers can practice their freestyle in the 50-meter Olympic-sized pool or take a dip in two smaller pools. However, this brand spanking new aquatic playground, which opened last summer, has made it all worth the wait. Anchored by a huge interactive play structure in the center, this 6,200-square-foot swimming hole offers everything from lap lanes and water spray features to a flume water slide and a submerged deck area that's ideal for parents to lounge around in while their kiddies splash the day away. Admission prices start at $6 for adults and $5 for anyone under 18, or purchase a pass of 30 visits starting at $112.50.

Sure, the Olympic-sized pool has been updated since then, but everything else around this place remains almost the same, from the cheap booze and food to the eclectic mix of friendly folks you'll find hanging out here year round.
