Best Places For Wedding Cakes In DFW

Wedding cake. Those words make any mouth water. A moist, delicious wedding cake can be talked about for years after the wedding day. It is not only the dessert, but part of the décor as well. A cake's taste and its beauty prove important factors in perfection. Many wedding guests deem it their favorite part of a reception. Wedding cakes can be created in just about any shape you can dream up. There have been creations from castles to sports teams, but the traditional tiered wedding cake still reigns as the most popular. These come decorated with flowers, ribbons and elaborate designs. Not just anyone can bake or decorate the masterpieces though. The best only comes from experts of their craft. These are the best places for wedding cakes in DFW.

Romano's Bakery

Dallas, TX 75214
(214) 821-5056
www.romanosbakery.com

Romano's Bakery makes more than just wedding cakes, but that's why it is most well known. The bakery showroom is truly an entire room full of wedding cake displays. The website boasts 93 different wedding cake photos that include buttercream frosting delicately shaped into flowers, bows and more. For groom's cakes, Romano's has done chess sets, iPhones and books, just to name a few.

Main Street Bakery
316 S. Main St.
Grapevine, TX 76051
(817) 424-4333
www.themainbakery.com

Main Street Bakery is a café and bakery in downtown Grapevine. It is also a full-service catering service. Combining the caterer and baker into one could make one less vendor to worry about on your wedding day. The cake tasting alone is worth considering Main Street Bakery. The tasting offers full pieces of cake, not just two tiny bites of each flavor like some bakeries.

The Cake Guys
630 Big Stone Gap Road
Duncanville, TX 75137
(972) 296-2253
www.thecakeguys.com

The original The Cake Guys was and still is located in Duncanville. An additional location was opened in Oak Lawn a couple of years ago to cater to customers in the center of the Metroplex. The Dallas location is only open for a few hours on Fridays and Saturdays though. The Cake Guys have been featured on bridal shows and in bridal magazines around the country. The website lays out the pricing for wedding cakes, which is rare to find, but convenient. There are exceptions for elaborate additions, but it is nice to have an idea without the hassle of an appointment.

Dallas Affaires Cake Co.

Dallas, TX 75214
(214) 826-9409
www.dallasaffairescakeco.com

This small shop is located in Lakewood, Dallas. The people that work here must love their jobs because almost everyone has been with the company for over 10 years. Dallas Affaires Cake Co. is the place to go for extremely custom or detailed wedding and groom's cakes. Whether you're looking for a cake trimmed to resemble old-fashioned French luggage, R2-D2 or frosted with strings of pearls, this place can handle it.

Sugar Bee Sweets
2410 W. Abram St.
Arlington, TX 76013
(817) 903-8661
www.sugarbeesweets.com

Wedding cakes in several tiers or several cakes in single tiers are just two of the options Sugar Bee Sweets offers. Some of the taunting flavors include tiramisu cake with coffee liqueur filling and pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese filling. The only problem is that there may be some missing pieces by the time the cake-cutting rolls around. Sugar Bee Sweets can also bake up wedding cake balls, cake pops, cookie plates, cupcakes, pies or pie pops for some non-traditional, but deliciously sweet options.
