Oddfellows serves Cuvee Coffee, which is, as its slogan says, handcrafted in Austin. The espresso machine used at Oddfellows deserves its own mention though. It's a La Marzocco Strada, one of only a few like it in the country. The top-notch machine allows for customized shots by expert baristas. Oddfellows is located in the Bishop Arts District area of Oak Cliff, where biking to brunch is a norm. Outside the restaurant sits a bike rack for riders to park. There is sometimes a bit of a wait for a table, but the hostess will take your cell number, allowing you to browse nearby shops while you wait.

Oak Lawn Coffee
2720 Oak Lawn Ave., Suite A
Dallas, TX 75219
(214) 219-5511
www.oaklawncoffee.com
This is a coffee shop for serious coffee drinkers only. There are no shots of flavored syrups. There is no tea or hot chocolate. There is just coffee and espresso, with maybe a little milk and sugar. The shop serves beans from local coffee aficionados Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters. Oak Lawn Coffee was formerly Urban Dog Coffee. Adding to the confusion is the fact that it is located next to a dog boarding facility. Without the "dog" in its name, the focus on coffee has come to the forefront in this small shop.
