Best Outdoor Concerts This Summer In DFW

Whether you are looking for rock, acoustic or R&B, DFW outdoor music venues have a variety of concerts coming up this summer to be excited about. From Grand Prairie to Addison, there are not only a variety of performers but a variety of venues to offer you what you are looking for in an outdoor music experience.

Keyshia Cole is a well-know R&B singer and songwriter, actress and record producer. This artist has been famous ever since her debut album hit shelves in 2005. Keyshia Cole is also known for her documentary/reality series that was shown on BET until 2008. Cole released her most recent album in November 2012 called Woman to Woman. With inspiration from Mary J Blige, Monica and Faith Evans, this is sure to be one of the best R&B concerts to look forward to. Cole will be performing at one of the most popular outdoor music venues in DFW, the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie.

Friends Wesley and Jeremiah began collaborating before making the trek from New York to Denver, CO. After arriving in Colorado, the first thing they did was look for a cellist, which led them to find Neyla Pekarek who later expanded her talents to include playing the mandolin and piano and who softened the sound of the trio. A mix of folk and acoustic rock, The Lumineers have a collection of rustic sounds with heart-felt lyrics. The Lumineers will also be performing at the Verizon Theatre at Gran Prairie.,

Each year, Taste Addison attracts thousands of fans to Addison Circle Park for food, fun and entertainment. This three-day event attracts some of the biggest music artists around. The most popular artists will be performing this year on the Dos Esquis Main Stage, including Blue October. Blue October is a rock band that got its start in Houston, Texas in 1995. With hits like "Calling You" and "Hate Me," Blue October became a main attraction on the rock circuit. If you like to enjoy great food while enjoying your music, this would be a great event to attend.

Sister Hazel is an alternative rock band from Florida that has a style that blends folk rock, classic rock and pop together to form a unique sound. The band formed in 1993 and was named after a local nun that ran a homeless shelter. Many of their songs feature upbeat lyrics to go along with their fun and upbeat sound. Sister Hazel will be playing at the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival, a festival that takes over the majority of downtown Fort Worth and features artists of many different kinds including painters and musicians that are famous locally as well as nationally.

In past years, this music festival has brought together thousands of music lovers to celebrate "unity through music." This year, the theme of the festival will be "we are all together." Artists that will be featured at the festival include Zomboy, Candyland, and Bro Safari. VIP tickets, Owners' Box Seats for 10-20 people and general admission tickets are available for purchase.
