Best Mardi Gras Parties In Fort Worth

You don't have to be in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras; Fort Worth is the place to be. Fat Tuesday falls on Feb. 21, 2012, but some places will celebrate the weekend before. If you're really lucky, you'll get three good nights out to enjoy every aspect of Mardi Gras.


Price: $5 cover charge
Age: Under 21 not permitted after 9 p.m.
Hours: Tues  – 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The Pour House will hosting its legendary Fat Tuesday celebration on the 21st. The Pour House is on its 17th Mardi Gras party, and these days you should expect a DJ, a live band, drink specials and an uber-festive atmosphere. Bring your appetite and you'll find some great grilling and a crawfish boil as well.


Price: No cover charge!
Hours: Tues – 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The 8.0 Bar is one of the best patio bars in Fort Worth. This trendy establishment in the ever-popular Sundance Square area will have a DJ and a live band for the evening of Fat Tuesday. As always you can count on great drink specials all night long. If you want good food and plenty of dancing, 8.0 Bar is the place to be.


Price: No cover charge
Hours: Tues – 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

This Fort Worth staple holds 700 people and its owners want the place packed on Fat Tuesday. This is a no-cover, DJ and live band party on the patio. Happy hour drink specials run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., you'll also find shot specials and Mardi Gras-themed drink specials all night long.


Price: $7 cover charge after 9 p.m
Hours: Fri – Sat 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Lone Star Nightclub is 22,000 square feet of fun; that's why it'll host its Mardi Gras events on two nights instead of one. On Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th, there will be massive festivities taking place in this enormous building that essentially holds four clubs in one space. The club will be decked out in Mardi Gras décor and plenty of beads will be handed out by the staff. They will have live music, a DJ, karaoke and dueling pianos on both nights. The Friday night band will be a local group called Big Mouth. Saturday night brings Poo Live Crew, who has been voted the number one party band in Fort Worth.

Hours: Sun to Fri –11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Fri to Sat – 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Even though this Cajun Café has a Mardi Gras feel every day, they will be stepping up their game for the week of February 13 – 21. This great Fort Worth restaurant with a full bar and both indoor and outdoor seating will be packing in the fun all week long. All ages are welcome here and the staff will be greeting you while donning their best Mardi Gras costumes and handing out beads. Though they won't be offering live music, Razzoo's will be fully decorated for the Mardi Gras week. They will be offering drink specials like the $3 "Hurrycanes" as well as menu specials such as frog legs. Bring the kids and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
