The Blackfriar is also Irish owned. The atmosphere and decor in this pub is interesting and welcoming. A lot of the decor inside came from the Hard Rock Cafe that was once right next door. Some woodwork came from a castle in England owned by Pete Townshend of The Who. Blackfriar often has craft beers that are rotating so you can always look forward to something new on the beer menu. On St. Patrick's Day, you can enjoy live music on the patio, dishes like corned beef and cabbage, and plenty of good beer.

Anvil Pub is a little gem in Deep Ellum. It is known mostly for its brunch but it has a lot of other things going for it as well. Anvil has amazing and unique bloody marys and mimosas, and its chili is always getting great reviews. It also has a large collection of different types of Jameson so you can also easily find a great whiskey to drink while you're enjoying the food. In fact, the kitchen is "green" as well so it tastes great while also being good for you. This is always a great place to go to have a good time and St. Patrick's Day is no different. Enjoy some great food and great drinks.
