Best Iced Coffee In DFW

When it comes to getting a cup of iced coffee, there are plenty of options at chain restaurants like McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, and more. However, these cups of coffee range from average to yuck at best and none of them have that flavor one can expect from a local coffee house that specializes in brewing coffee. In the DFW area, there are a lot of options to choose from when looking for just about anything, and great iced coffee is no different. Here is a look at the best places to find iced coffee in the DFW area.
Ascension Coffee
1621 Oak Lawn Ave
Dallas, TX 75207
(214) 741-3211
ascensiondallas.com

Ascension is an interesting DFW coffeehouse because it turns into a wine bar during the night. The coffeehouse opened in 2012, and at the time had the only Synesso Hydra Hybrid espresso machine in the DFW area. While that is fancy and promises great tasting coffee for patrons, Ascension also made their mark by only using high-quality, farmer-focused coffee from around the world. The coffeemakers at Ascension also love to talk coffee and serve some of the best iced coffee in the entire Metroplex.

Cultivar Coffee
1155 Peavy Road
Dallas, TX 75218
(972) 677-7895
cultivarcoffee.com

Cultivar Coffee is a locally-owned micro-roaster coffee bar with two locations, one in Denton and the other in the heart of Dallas. The owner of Cultivar Coffee started out his career at White Rock Coffee when he was only 18, and he has brought that love to Cultivar Coffee, bringing the DFW area a specialty coffee house for connoisseurs and everyday coffee-lovers alike. Cultivar also promises to really make the customers feel important, with the roasters making appearances at the counter to get feedback and chat with similar minded coffee-lovers.

Davis Street Espresso
819 W. Davis St.
Dallas, TX 75208
(214) 941-0381
davisstreetespresso.com

While many coffeehouses in the DFW area are part of a larger business that serves as a restaurant, boutique, or bar, Davis Street Espresso focuses 100 percent on making great coffee. They roast the coffee in the same location that they sell it and it maintains its popularity because of this stripped-down idea of just making the best coffee possible. This isn't the place to go to grab a quick cup of coffee on the run, as the baristas take their time to make a perfect iced coffee or other drink, and there is also no Wi-Fi because Davis Street Espresso is about serving a relaxing, tasteful cup of coffee, and not about anything else.

They also sell fruit smoothies and frappes, which is another nice drink in the hot Texas summer. Also on sale here are various food items, and everything can be enjoyed in-house or taken on the go. They also offer a spot for local artists to bring their wares and display them, as well as local musicians playing on the weekends.
