Best Gay Bars In DFW

The DFW area is known for a variety of great bars that cater to many different groups. What you may not know is that there is also a great group of bars that cater to gay and lesbian patrons. With bars that cater to the leather community, honkey-tonk lovers, and many more, there is sure to be a great option for almost everyone. The bars also feature many events and specials and often hold charity events to give back to the community that helps support them.

Opening back in 1980, the Round-Up Saloon has been one of the most popular gay bars and dance halls for a while now. With many different bars within the Round-Up to choose from, you're likely to be able to find exactly what you're looking for. The Parlor Bar is their daytime bar, The Corral Bar is the outdoor patio bar, and you might also want to try the Tequila Shack, and many more. Don't worry if you don't know how to line dance or 2-step. The Round-Up offers dance lessons so you can dance with the best of them.

JR's Bar and Grill was also established in 1980 and has been a very successful gay club ever since and has even inspired other gay clubs in other cities to be just like them. It has grown a lot since it was initially built and has in fact been remodeled and expanded 3 times. It got its start as a narrow, one-story bar and is now a multi-level successful bar. There are often events held here that are great for bringing a whole group to.

In 1995, The Dallas Eagle was founded by Matt Miller and Mark Frazier. It was opened because the founders believed that the leather community in DFW had a need. Since then, it moved across the street and now boasts a larger venue and a large outdoor patio area. They have great events including karaoke, underwear nights, and many more. The Dallas Eagle also hosts many charity events throughout the year to give back to the community.

Station 4, also known as S4, is a 24,000 square foot bar that is full of enjoyment and 15 service wells. There is a large dancefloor on the first floor but that's not all. Upstairs, you can enjoy the granite bar, or you can go outside to cool off on the large patio. For even more entertainment, you can enjoy the drag show in the legendary Rose Room Theatre and Lounge.
