Best Father's Day Restaurants In DFW

Whether Dad likes Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, American or Italian, there is a restaurant in the Metroplex that will treat him like a king. Here are some of the best places to take Dad this Father's Day in DFW.
Komali Restaurant
4152 Cole Ave.
Dallas, TX 75204
(214) 252-0200
www.komalirestaurant.comDallas couple John Broady and Emanuel Salinas recently purchased this uptown Mexican restaurant. Salinas had managed restaurants in the San Francisco area and wanted to bring the flavors of Mexican cuisine to Dallas. Broady, a Dallas native, handles the marketing side of the restaurant. To start, you can treat Dad to one of Celebrity Mixologist Leann Berry's famous cocktails. For Father's Day, Komali is offering a special brunch of Mexican street food prepared and served in traditional street vendor style. Elotes (roasted corn), queso empanadas, tropical fruit cups (frutas), and aqua frescas including mango water, watermelon water and horchata (sweet rice water). Komali is also open for dinner and will be featuring their regular menu.
Afrah Mediterranean Restaurant
3351 Regent Blvd.
Irving, TX 75063
(469) 420-9197
www.afrah.comThe Elhorr brothers have brought their Southern Lebanese family recipes with a Mediterranean flair to the Metroplex with the recent opening of their second restaurant located in Irving. Like the original Richardson restaurant that opened in 2003, Afrah – Irving offers fresh, authentic, rich flavors of Lebanese cuisine in their weekday lunch buffet or on their extensive menu. The buffet, normally served for lunch during weekdays, is being offered for dinner on Father's Day during Ramadan. Hummus, baba ganoush (eggplant, tahini, lemon, garlic an olive oil), shish kebab, grilled chicken, beef shawarma, gyro plate or sandwich, a wide variety of rice dishes and salads, plus an extensive selection of vegan and gluten free options makes Afrah a perfect Father's Day restaurant.
Matchbox
7859 Walnut Hill Lane
Dallas, TX 75230
(844) 712-2369
www.matchboxrestaurants.comHealthy, hearty and happy is what one will find at Matchbox. This DC food concept has opened its first Dallas restaurant in the neighborhood of Preston Hollow. What makes this a perfect Father's Day restaurant is the menu variety. Under shared plates are mini burgers with a tower of onion straws that are served 3, 6 or 9 to an order. Special note: The onion straws (skinny onion rings) are addictive. Large selection of salads, an awesome "killer veggie wrap" with roasted squash, cucumber, chick peas and hummus (vegan-friendly), whipped ricotta fettuccine with walnut pesto as well as classic and artisan pizzas (holy grail margarita and prosciutto and white Turkish fig) with the option for gluten-sensitive dough pizza crust make this a restaurant where everybody will find something to their liking, especially dear old dad.

Bugatti Ristorante
3802 W. Northwest Hwy.
Dallas, TX 75220
(214) 350-2470
www.bugattis.netA restaurant where Dad will feel at home is Bugatti. For the past 24 years, Bugatti has served the Dallas/Love Field area with fine Italian cuisine and superior service under the ownership of brothers Zee and Michael Aziz. They have 80 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry. The dishes are divine, with time-tested recipes that makes one truly appreciate fine and flavorful - but not overpowering - sauces. Along with Bugatti's regular menu for Father's Day, they will offer a 5 oz. filet mignon with a house made seasoned butter, shrimp Fra Diablo (spicy sauce) served with potato au gratin and sautéed vegetable medley. The owners greet their guests and make them feel like family. They will remember you don't like mushrooms in your ravioli and love lightly sautéed vegetables al dente. It is this attention to detail that makes Bugatti Ristorante a great Father's Day restaurant.
Asian Mint
11617 N. Central Expressway
Dallas, TX 75243
(214) 363-6655
www.asianmint.comThe Forest Lane location of Asian Mint recently more than doubled its space. The Asian fusion café off Central Expressway across from Medical City Hospital has added more seats in its main dining room, a private event space with audio visual equipment, a central U-shaped bar and an expanded kitchen. Asian Mint's menu has also expanded with cocktails like "Mint" – sake, fresh mint, fresh lime and cane syrup, which is reminiscent of a mojito with sake; and the "Asian Mule" – house-infused lemongrass vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime, mint and palm syrup. With plenty of gluten-free, vegan and traditional dishes, including stir fry, Pad Thai and curries, one will find something to their liking. Sunday brunch is classic American fare with an Asian flare – Bacon Pad Thai and Thai fried egg, Star Anise French toast, sausage basil and Thai fried egg over Jasmine rice. Don't forget to save room for dessert. You won't want to miss their very tall signature green tea ice cream cake.
