The start of school is around the corner, but there's still time to squeeze in some last minute summer fun. From aerial adventures to canoe trips and overnights in a museum, here are five places around Dallas-Fort Worth where you and your family can make the most of summer's last days.

Not only does the park offer cable pulled wake boarding with free instruction, it also has a 4000-foot-long lazy river and several 60-foot-high water slides that catapult riders up into the air when they reach the bottom. Along with all the water activities, the park features a swimming beach, a massive hot tub, volleyball courts, a restaurant, waterfront cabins and an RV park.

The lake features everything from diving boards and slides to a 25-foot trapeze that swings over the water. Along with the lake is a 30-acre park boasting sandy beaches, volleyball courts, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. There's also a concession stand that sells snacks and rents out inner tubes. Better hurry though, the lake closes for the season on Aug. 23.
