"Slavs! Thinking About the Longstanding Problems of Virtue and Happiness" by Tony Kushner is directed by theatre professor Rhonda Blair and will be showing at the Margo Jones Theater. Set in Moscow in 1985, the slapstick and the lunatic combine to ask age-old questions about good and evil, justice and its miscarriage – and what is to be done about them in this dark, funny and at times vaudevillian piece.

"Richard III" by William Shakespeare will be directed by associate theater professor Michael Connolly and be performed for the public at Greer Garson Theatre on the SMU campus. "Richard III" is one of Shakespeare's masterpieces that spotlights the entertaining humor of a villain and those that oppose him. The master of diabolically cruel wit, Richard boasts that he "can smile and murder whiles I smile…"

"As It Is In Heaven" by Arlene Hutton will be directed by Department of Theatre Arts assistant professor Dr. Anne Healy and performed in the Studio Theater. The lives of nine Shaker women and their struggle to maintain daily balance as members of the United Society of Believers in the Second Coming of Christ is the focus of this play set in a Pleasant Hill, Kentucky community where a newcomer "shakes" things up, claiming to have received special "gifts" from above.

"The Magic Flute" is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and will be directed at UTA's Mainstage Theater by Dr. Soo Hong Kim in association with the UTA Department of Music. A fantasy-filled classic opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart tells of the story of Pamina, the queen's daughter that is kidnapped by an evil sorcerer and the heroic prince Tamino's attempt to save her. Tamino and his sidekick Papageno endure some death-defying events in their quest to save Pamina.

"Women and Wallace," a one-act play by Jonathan Marc Sherman, will be directed by UNT student Richard T. Quadri in the Radio, Television, Film and Performing Arts (RTFP) Building. This one-act play focuses on Wallace, a handsome 18-year-old man, as he recalls events of his childhood, finding his mother dead at the tender age of six. Wallace works to come to grips with his mother's suicide and the various women that come into his life.

Student Richard T. Quadri will take on another directorship in a one-act play in February. This time he will tackle Matt Parent Higginbotham's "Brightside Sociopaths" at the RTFP building. Two parents go on a crazy killing rampage after the suicide of their homosexual daughter. This dark play dives into the core of sociopathic behavior within the American Dream and examines when good values turn into dark obsessions.
