The Fort Worth Library, through its eSkills library and job center classes, offers computer classes that cover everything: basic keyboarding, how to turn the computer on and off, explanation of desktop icons, opening and closing computer programs, basic functions from document creation to editing, copy and pasting, saving and deleting. There are also classes in internet basics, as well as emailing. Advanced software classes cover Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and multimedia.

Cedar Valley College at Cedar Hill Center has computer classes for all adults, but their Experience Works initiative is specifically designed for the senior citizen community, age 55 and older. The computer classes help those looking to go in a different career direction, including upgrading your existing skills, refreshing your resume and gaining confident interviewing skills, as well as effectively using job search tools and applying for positions online. The computer classes are also for those looking to brush up on basic computer skills that include keyboarding, emailing, internet access, exploring Microsoft Office software and figuring out other problems that one might come across while using a computer.

As part of Collin College's continuing education curriculum, there is something for everyone. They offer "In A Day Computer Classes" where you learn a specific platform, such as Windows 8, or specific software, such as Word, Powerpoint or Excel. There are also classes on social networking, as well as "Afternoon Sampler Classes" and "Weekend Warrior Classes" where you can pack all the learning in one weekend. Along with IT, Cisco courses, there are also workshop classes on LinkedIn and Apple iCloud.

Various branches of the Dallas Public Library offer day and evening classes. Microsoft Word classes, as well as resume building classes, are offered to help you get ahead. The library also offers a computer tutor class where you can troubleshoot problems that you might be experiencing.

Goodwill Industries offers a variety of educational services to the public. Their continuing education program includes five weeks of hands-on instruction and covers how to use the internet, emailing procedures, including how to send documents as attachments, using Microsoft Word, resume, introduction and thank you letter creation, as well as basic spreadsheet knowledge. This course meets four hours a day, Monday through Friday, and at the end of the course, students receive 9.5 continuing education credits from Richland College.
