ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has won a 2014 Silver Slugger Award for the 4th time in his career.

The award is given annually to the best offensive player at each position in each league.

Beltre has now captured the American League honor at third base in three of the last five seasons.

At the age of 35, Beltre hit .324 with 19 homeruns and 77 RBIs. He was among the league leaders in batting average (4th), on-base percentage (3rd, .388), hits (9th, 178) and slugging (10th, .492).

He was selected for the All-Star Game for the fourth time in his career.

Beltre has now won four Silver Slugger Awards and four Gold Glove Awards, becoming just the 3rd third baseman to accomplish the feat (Mike Schmidt and Matt Williams).

He also became the 9th player to win multiple Silver Slugger Awards with Texas.

Beltre also won the award in 2004 (Los Angeles-NL), 2010 (Boston), and 2011 (Texas).
