GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - Officials at DFW International Airport on Wednesday afternoon had to handle some very unusual stowaways on a flight that arrived from Las Vegas. A swarm of bees had attached themselves to the wing of the plane.

Crews were unloading baggage from the aircraft when they noticed the bees on the wing's underside. They stopped their work until a beekeeper could arrive at the scene to address the situation.

The beekeeper was able to capture the queen and the swarm, and crews continued to unload the aircraft. But the issue did not end there.

Shortly after the beekeeper left, just before the same plane was about to leave for Germany, another swarm of bees decided to make a home on the plane. The beekeeper was called back to the airport to capture this second swarm. The flight to Germany left about an hour after its scheduled departure time.
