FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Devastated by the loss of her beautiful baby girl, Alysa Limón has a warning for parents -- give trust sparingly when it comes to your children.

Her 7-month-old infant, Presley Lindsay, died at Cook's Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth Wednesday night.  Limón said she will remember her as an angel, a happy baby with piercing blue eyes.

Limón's boyfriend, Kyle Ray Gooch, 25, of Bedford, was caring for the child when she was allegedly injured. The young mother, a manager at Five Guys was at work when the alleged injury to her child happened.

He's now in custody, accused of killing the baby.

Limón said Gooch was alway sweet with the little girl.

Limon said when she confronted Gooch at the hospital, he admitted to having spanked the child that evening.
But detective's don't believe a simple spanking is responsible for the child's death, according to Limón.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Presley sustained "non-accidental" brain trauma while in Gooch's care, police said.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office had not ruled on the cause and manner of death by Thursday evening.

Gooch is currently in the Bedford jail with a $50,000 bond.

In a previous version of this article CBSDFW.COM didn't specify that Ms. Limón said Mr. Gooch admitted to spanking her child when confronted at the hospital. Ms. Limón maintains she was unaware of any mistreatment of her child by Mr. Gooch prior to the baby's death.
