Baylor's Brittney Griner Leads AP All-America Team

WACO (AP) - Baylor center Brittney Griner is a unanimous pick for The Associated Press' women's All-America team, earning the honor for the second straight season.

The 6-foot-8 phenom has been dominant all season, leading Baylor to an unbeaten season. She's averaging 23.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 5.2 blocks.

Nnemkadi Ogwumike of Stanford, Elena Delle Donne of Delaware, Skylar Diggins of Notre Dame and Alyssa Thomas of Maryland rounded out the team Tuesday.

Griner and Ogwumike received first-team votes from all 40 members of the national media panel that selects the weekly Top 25. Voting was done before the NCAA tournament. It's the fifth straight season that there's been at least one unanimous choice.

It's the first time since 2006 that no Tennessee or Connecticut players were on the first team.
