Baylor Coach Says Parents Doing Well In Cancer Battles
WACO (AP) - Baylor coach Scott Drew says his father is doing well and his mother is preparing for the next step in her treatment after both were diagnosed with cancer.
Homer Drew, the 67-year-old former Valparaiso coach, and his wife were diagnosed within days of each other last month. The family has withheld additional details about their health.
After his 11th-ranked Bears' victory Tuesday, Scott Drew said he wanted to thank all Baylor fans and people everywhere for their thoughts and prayers.
Scott Drew says his dad is doing well, and his mother is looking at options for her next step in treatment. He says his mother has been real courageous and asked for continued prayers.
