Exciting times this weekend here in the Metroplex as we kick off Cowboys Football . I can't wait to see what the Boys look like against McNabb and the Skins and the introduction of Mr. Dez Bryant to the NFL . We also play host this weekend in Arlington to the AL East leading New York Yankees. Hopefully we'll be able to bring out the brooms and give them a taste of what's to come in the post season. But I'll be happy with two out of three. To be playing against the New York Yankees Saturday seems fitting, considering what happened in that city, and to that city and the rest of the country on that day. It has been important and essential for all of us to have moved forward since then, and to have lived our lives with as much normalcy as possible. But the truth is that as much as we'd like to believe life in America is back to "normal", nothing could be further from the truth. Long lines at airport security, stories of some nutty " pastor" who wants to burn the Koran at his church to get his 15 minutes of fame, and the way some people look a little longer at someone with middle eastern garb or dress, are examples of how life in America will never be the same. Many say that wounds heal with time. And although that may be true, as long as there is a hole in the ground in N.Y. where towers once stood, there will always be a giant scar. So before you take your trip out to Arlington to watch the Rangers beat the Yanks , stop for a moment to remember and honor those who lost their lives in those towers on September 11th, 2001 and the families who were affected by that unthinkable event.....Never Forget.
