FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - A 60-year-old Frisco man remains missing after going for a walk 10 days ago with nothing more than the clothes on his back.
Diane Sorenson said her husband, Sidney, walked out of their home in the 10000 block of Rogers Road a week ago Thursday without his keys, wallet, or even his cell phone.
He was frustrated, she said, with a fraudulent credit card charge and needed to take a walk.
"I just kept expecting him to come back," she said.
Video from a security camera at a nearby elementary school, according to family members, shows Sorenson walking towards the Warren Sports Complex in Frisco.
From there family members said police dogs tracked his scent to a prayer circle located behind a church across Eldorado Parkway from the park.
However, that's where the clues end.
"My biggest worry that he's not safe and warm," his wife told CBS 11 News. "I just keep thinking that he'll come back. I try and not think about the other."
Family members have searched nearby fields, homeless shelters, the library, the movie theater, as well as his favorite restaurants. "I don't know where he could be. I'm very concerned," Sorenson said. "I just want him to come back home. I need to find where he is."
Sorenson's sister, Jody Tucker, said, "I'm worried he is in a bad place."
Sorenson is a member of the exclusive Mensa organization, but Tucker said her brother can be gullible and overly trusting. "He might trust someone and be taken advantage of," Tucker added.
The Frisco Police Department has labeled this a "critical missing person" case.
"We love him very much! He's not just a brother, he's my dearest friend," Tucker said. "He's been there for everything for me, for my children. We love him and miss him and want him back."
