State Fair Food: Think Bacon Egg Rolls, Edible Cola, Fried Jell-O

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Better schedule that appointment with a cardiologist now, because the State Fair of Texas has just released the semi-finalists for the Big Tex Choice Awards, a list heavy on fried foods and bacon.

Bacon wrapped churros, bacon wrapped pork belly on a stick and fried Jell-O all made the cut this year as the State Fair works to winnow the 34 entries down to a group of eight finalists to be announced in August.

Or if you're not a fan of bacon, perhaps you'd like holy guacamole balls or deep fried cheeseburger onion rings.
