At Final Four: No Beer, No Problem

ARLINGTON, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - Usually the idea of alcohol and attending a sporting event go hand in hand.

But that would not be the case Saturday at the Final Four from AT&T Stadium as the NCAA was not selling alcohol and booze could not be found ... unless of course you managed to find yourself in a suite.

My broadcast partner, Cory Mageors, and I discussed how much money was likely lost because of this.

We decided on $378,000.

That was based on a conservative attendance of 80,000 and Cory insisting one-sided of attendees would've been drinking. That's 27,000 people imbibing two drinks each (that's 54,000 beers) times $7 a pop, which equals $378,000.

That's a lot of lost potential revenue, but it didn't seem to bother the fans as they were amped up all night!
