The following trails were suggested for those who enjoy beach cruiser style bikes, most of the time, requiring smooth terrains.

The Katy Trail

The Katy Trail is a great place to experience city and nature at once. Smoothly weaving its way through Uptown past popular hangouts, this trail is known for its social scene as much as its scenery. Joggers, walkers, and cyclists frequent this paved trail. The Katy Trail is great for beginners and people watchers, but caution should be taken to avoid traffic both crossing streets and with runners. Cyclists tend to stay to the left and those on foot to the right. The trail stretches 3.5 miles from the American Airlines Center downtown to the Central Expressway.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Beginner bikers and middle experience cyclists will both enjoy this suburban journey filled with fountains, foliage and curb appeal wherever one looks. Spring Creek Nature Area

Spring Creek Nature Area measures in at four and a half miles of paved pedaling distance through the woods in the Richardson area. Nearby parking is available and the trail is easily accessed from the highway.
