ALLEN (CBSDFW.COM) - Police made an arrest in the disappearance of Christina Morris.

Police arrested 24-year-old Enrique Arochi of Allen, Texas and charged him with aggravated kidnapping.

Arochi was arrested Saturday morning. The arrest is partly connected to results from DNA samples collected earlier in the investigation, according to Plano Police.

Morris' mother, Jonni McElroy, told CBS11 that she wasn't shocked by the arrest. "I knew from a mother's instinct she was in that car all along. Now I need him to talk about where Christina is," said McElroy.

In November police obtained a search warrant for Arochi's car.

Morris was last seen entering a parking garage at the Shops at Legacy, in the early morning hours of August 30, with Arochi, who was a high school acquaintance

According to the warrant, which was executed in September, police searched Arochi's 2010 Chevrolet Camaro for bodily fluids, hair and DNA evidence.

Police said Arochi made many false statements over the course of the investigation, which have hindered detectives, including lying about contacting Morris' boyfriend right after she disappeared.

Police accused Arochi of lying about where he parked his car the night Morris disappeared.

He said he did not park in the same garage as Morris, but when police showed him surveillance video of his car driving out of the same garage, he admitted he did park there.

Detectives believe Morris may have been in his car when he drove out of the garage at 3:58 a.m.

Arochi has told police that Morris has never been in his car.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call the Plano Police Department Tip Line at 972-941-2148 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 877-373-8477
