Two McKinney residents are going to open for LeAnn Rimes tonight at Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. Crystal & Will Yates write and perform together, but the road to a country music career has been anything but a straight line to stardom.
"We started out getting married really young, we were both nineteen. Had a baby at twenty, and so the career kind of took a back seat. It was a good plan for our lives, to grow in character and to just experience a lot more life" said Crystal Yates.
That experience and wisdom shines through and they are catching the ears of country music folks everywhere.
Crystal Yates with her husband Will on guitar play Choctaw Casino in Durant tonight, and The House of Blues in Dallas tomorrow night.
