Army Spc. William R. Moody Of Burleson Laid To Rest
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Army Spc. William R. Moody of Burleson was laid to rest in a somber ceremony Saturday morning. He served two duty tours as a Marine in Iraq and was serving his second tour as a soldier in Afghanistan when he was killed. It happend June 18 during a rocket attack by the Taliban.
The other soldiers killed with Moody were Sgt. Justin R. Johnson, 25, of Hobe Sound, Fla., Spc. Ember M. Alt, 21, of Beech Island, S.C., and Spc. Robert W. Ellis, 21, of Kennewick, Wash.
All the soldiers were assigned to the 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
Moody, 30, leaves behind a wife and three children.
He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
