Army Closing DFW Airport's Troop Assistance Office
GRAPEVINE (AP) - The U.S. Army has announced it will close a personnel assistance office at a major North Texas airport that helped troops passing through on route to and from overseas combat.
The functions of the Dallas-Fort Worth Personnel Assistance Office will be consolidated with the one at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport., effective April 1.
An Army statement says the USO center at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will continue to provide assistance to service members and their families traveling through the North Texas airport.
