FORT WORTH (CBSDFW/AP) - Prosecutors say an Arlington woman suspected of as many as 10 North Texas bank robberies had notes in her vehicle saying "This is a robbery."
Authorities believe 37-year old Dana Campbell of Arlington was the 'Black Hoodie Bandit' - the suspect in 10 separate robberies, nine of which were at First Convenience Banks (FCB) and one at a Woodforest National Bank.
Campbell was arrested Monday following an Arlington traffic stop. At that time, police determined she faced several misdemeanor traffic warrants when they noticed a black hooded jacket in her vehicle along with dark sunglasses, black gloves, a black beanie hat with brim and a black leather purse with metal studs - items that eyewitnesses say a female bank robber was wearing when she committed the crime.
Prosecutors say police located notes saying "This is a robbery" and "This is a robbery. I don't want to hurt anyone."
Officers also confiscated a ledger with dates and addresses of banks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. All had been robbed since November by a person wearing a black hoodie.
She is being held pending a detention hearing next week. Information wasn't immediately available on an attorney for Campbell.
