ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Arlington are looking for a group of thieves who stole an ATM. The 'smash and grab' theft happened at a gas station at Little School Road and Treepoint Drive.

There are cameras inside the Quick Track store, so police are hoping the video will help them identify the thieves. It was around 3:30 a.m. when the criminals got away with the machine and the money, and as the sun began to rise the cleanup for the victims had just begun.

Crews at the scene were told the thieves smashed a pickup through the front of the store and pulled up the ATM that sat by the door.

Investigators believe several people were involved in the theft.

The store manager said there had been break-ins before, but this is the first time the ATM was targeted.

Workers were still trying to assess the damage Monday morning, but the manager said she didn't believe anything else was stolen.

The gas station was closed at the time of the burglary, so no one was inside. The business remained closed as cleanup and the police investigation continued.

Anyone with information about the theft of the suspects is asked to contact the Arlington Police Department at (817) 459-5700 or leave an anonymous tip through Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
