Arlington Police Look For Bank Robbery Suspect
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Arlington need the public's help with identifying a suspect who committed at least two recent bank robberies this month.
The first incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on September 6 at a bank in the 2200 block of New York Avenue. The suspect allegedly gave the teller a note which demanded money. The employee complied with the suspect's request and left the scene. Authorities did not say just how much money was taken.
The suspect struck again at about 9:30 a.m. on September 14 at a bank in the 3900 block of Matlock Road. The incident was very similar. He handed a teller a note demanding money and the teller gave him some cash. But this time, the suspect got into a white Honda Odyssey and a dye pack included with the money sprayed the suspect and possibly his vehicle with red dye.
The suspect has been described as an Asian man, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, around 130 or 140 pounds, and about 45 years old. Cameras at each bank caught photographs of the suspect, shown wearing the same hat in both crimes. The Arlington Police Department also posted a video of the first robbery on their YouTube channel.
