UPDATE:  Arlington Police have arrested Jasmine Piggee, 23, and charged her with Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault. Police said was the woman who brought the two men to the location that were shot.

The other shooting victim has been transferred to a hospital in Dallas for further treatment and could face charges once released.

The homeowner and his girlfriend will not be charged at this time and the case will be forwarded to a Tarrant County Grand Jury to determine if the shooting was justified.

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A home invasion burglary in Arlington ended with two alleged suspects being shot, one of them fatally. It happened at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Belemeade Street, just north of Interstate-20.

A man and a woman live at the home. Police explained that another woman -- someone who knows the couple -- arrived with two men who were carrying guns. It appears as though the two men were trying to break down the home's front door when gunfire erupted.

Police confirmed that the male owner of the house shot and killed one person, a man in his early 20s, in the home's entryway. Another suspect, also a man in his early 20s, was hit in the face by gunfire while in the home's front yard. He was taken to Medical Center Arlington in serious condition.

Police are currently questioning the homeowner. This may not be a simple case of someone protecting themselves from a home invasion. "The female that brought the two men here that had firearms, she's been detained," explained Chris Cook with the Arlington Police Department. "The ones that live here -- we believe the male is the one that did the shooting -- they're detained as well until we determine... was this a burglary or was there more to the story? We just don't know that at this point."

Authorities are also talking to several witnesses. The entire altercation is believed to have stemmed from an argument that took place on Wednesday.
