Arlington Man Allegedly Paid Teen Girls For Sex

KELLER (CBS11) - Arrest warrants from the Keller Police Department show four underage Keller ISD students were paid by an Arlington man to have sex with him. The suspect did not work for the school system. But, the scale of what he allegedly did surprised police here.
"I tell you they're all bad," said Capt. Tommy Simmons Keller Police Department spokesman. "But this, with the number of victims we had would be one of our bigger crimes than what we've investigated in the past."
Police say 44-year-old Timothy James Burns sexually assaulted four girls ages 14 to 16 and offered them hundreds of dollars for sex.
Police say an adult in her teens first connected with Burns on a website for men who want to become sugar daddies.
"It transcended to that female acquaintance talking to other females here in the area and that's how those meetings were basically arranged," Capt. Simmons said.
Records show as word spread the girls, they would travel to Burns' Lake Arlington house, sometimes using Burns' Uber account for a ride, where they were given alcohol and marijuana.
Arrest warrants state one victim was taken to the house by a friend who was paid to bring new girls.
"'The Friend' then told her that the suspect was going to pay her a lot of money if she lost her virginity to him," the warrant states.
The warrant says the girl told police she had sex with Burns and,"(Victim #1) said that the suspect gave them $200 each; "The Friend" got $200 for introducing them."
"We're talking almost an over the hill adult with a girl that can barely drive," said a Keller father of a high school-aged daughter who didn't want to be identified. But tonight hat dad will have a conversation with his daughter he wish he didn't have to have.
"Just like every other dad, I feel like I shouldn't have to do it," he said. "But I have to do it! Because there are people like this out there and you want your kids to be as safe as possible. You gotta do it! You got to say something to your kids."
As tough as the conversation is, Keller Police are asking parents to talk to their kids tonight since there could be more victims.
