ARLINGTON (CBSDFW) - An apartment complex went up in flames in Arlington early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews responded to 1325 East Park Row to a reported fire on the first and second floor, as well as multiple vehicles on fire in the parking lot.

The blaze was so big that eight engines and three ladder trucks were forced to be called to the scene.

The Arlington Fire Department says they engaged in an aggressive interior attack to control the fire and search for residents.

Authorities say all occupants of the four affected apartment units are safe and none of them required transport to the hospital.

A total of 18 people have been displaced from their homes. The Arlington Fire Department says they've requested assistance from the Red Cross to help the affected residents.

Arlington Fire Investigators have not determined the cause, but their investigation shows the fire originated on the ground floor patio.
