Another Green Laser Reported By North Texas Pilot

DALLAS (KRLD) -- An airborne traffic reporter narrowly missed getting his eye burned by a green laser pointed into the cockpit of a plane flying over North Texas last night.

This is the second report in as many weeks in Dallas of a green laser focusing on a small aircraft.

Earlier this month, a medical helicopter carrying a patient had to land suddenly at Dallas Love Field when the co-pilot's right eye was burned by a green laser that was shot from the ground. According to the Dallas Police report, the co-pilot was treated at the hospital and reported not being able to see out of his right eye.

Last night, another green laser was spotted by KRLD traffic reporter Randy Fuller.

"I didn't really know what it was," says Fuller. "All of a sudden, it focused right on me, like near my eye."

He says that he moved his head out of the way. The laser was then pointed at pilot Colin Doney's face.

Neither Fuller or Doney was injured.

The laser was reported to the FAA and Dallas Police. Fuller believes that the laser was coming from Armstrong Park in Garland, near 635 and Centerville Road.
