Another Arrest For Troubled Former Cowboys RB Randle

FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - For a few years, Dallas Cowboys officials used to plead the case that running back Joseph Randle was not a "troublemaker," but rather just a "knucklehead." Now, only the former Cowboys starter Randle is devoted to pleading that case... and he's having to do it with great frequency.

The arrests -- including multiple felony charges -- are piling up. I believe that we are up to seven arrests in 18 months due to the latest, a felony charge of criminal threat.

Per the Sedgwick County court records and according to Randle's hometown paper, the Wichita Eagle in Kansas, Randle allegedly threatened a jail deputy while already jailed on two previous pending felony charges.

Randle -- for a moment in Dallas, the heir to 2014 NFL Offensive Player of the Year DeMarco Murray -- can receive a sentence of five to 17 months in prison for this latest charge. Randle has also been arrested for failure to appear in court, marijuana possession, aggravated battery, shoplifting and assaulting an officer, among other things.

Privately, there are concerns about Randle's involvement with drugs, alcohol and gambling.

In total: Joe Randle is a "troublemaker." And, on a deeper level, Joe Randle is troubled.
